The 2027 ASICS Los Angeles Marathon is on Sunday 7 March 2027, point to point from Dodger Stadium to Santa Monica Boulevard at Avenue of the Stars in Century City. Runners do best in Century City: free race shuttles leave there for the start from 03:00 to 05:30, and after the race you walk back to your room. Downtown is the other good base, about 2 miles from the start, with the official host hotels and the Union Station shuttles, and supporters can ride the Metro from there to Hollywood. You must collect your bib in person at the expo on 5 or 6 March, so arrive by Saturday and book a room you can cancel now.

Race morning
Free race shuttles take runners to Dodger Stadium, and you reserve a time when you register: from Century City (Avenue of the Stars, south of Olympic Boulevard) nonstop from 03:00 to 05:30, from Patsaouras Transit Plaza behind Union Station at 05:00, 05:30 and 06:00, and from 500 S. Figueroa Street (04:00 to 06:00) if you booked a downtown hotel through the official hotel centre. Only runners with a bib board, and in 2026 every bag was screened and only the clear event bag was allowed. Gear check closes at 06:30 and seeded corrals at 06:40 for the 07:00 start, and the race asks you to arrive at least 90 minutes early. You can also be dropped off at Lot 4 or park free at the stadium (enter by the Golden State Gate, 2000 Academy Rd.), but there is no shuttle back from the finish.

Watch the race
Cheer at Grand Park downtown, ride the Metro B Line under the closed streets to Hollywood Boulevard, then head west to Century City for the finish; if you are staying on the Westside, walk to Rodeo Drive instead.

Runners pass Grand Park and City Hall around mile 4, and the Civic Center/Grand Park station sits right on the course. As soon as your runner passes, take the B Line direct to Hollywood/Highland (10 stops, no change); early Sunday trains can be 20 minutes apart.

Hollywood Boulevard
The Walk of Fame stretch, with Hollywood/Vine and Hollywood/Highland stations under the course and the TCL Chinese Theatre at about mile 11.6. Your runner still has more than 14 miles to go: take the B Line to Wilshire/Vermont, the D Line to Wilshire/La Cienega, then a taxi along Olympic Boulevard, which is not on the course, to Century City.

Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills
Best for supporters staying in Beverly Hills or Century City, about 2 km on foot from the finish. From Hollywood it is too far to reach in time for most runners. After your runner passes, walk back to Santa Monica Boulevard west of Avenue of the Stars, where they will finish more than 9 miles later.

Meet your runner
To see the finish, stand on Santa Monica Boulevard west of Avenue of the Stars. In the 2026 race guide, runners then walked about half a mile through the secure zone and came out at Constellation Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars, which could take at least 30 minutes, and the race asked families not to wait at that exit but to meet inside Westfield Century City (the beer garden in the Atrium or a mall restaurant). Phone signal can be weak, so agree on the spot before race day.
The official hotels, explained
HotelPlanner is the official booking platform, and the race also names five official host hotels: the Sheraton Grand, The Biltmore, the InterContinental and the Westin Bonaventure downtown, and the Fairmont Century Plaza by the finish. Downtown rooms booked through the official reservation centre come with a race shuttle to the start and back after the race, but no minimum stay, deposit or cancellation rules are published, so read each rate before you pay.

Where should I stay for the LA Marathon?
Century City is the easiest base: the free race shuttles to the start leave from Avenue of the Stars, and you walk back from the finish. Downtown LA is about 2 miles from Dodger Stadium, with four official host hotels and the Union Station shuttles.
How do I get to Dodger Stadium on race morning?
Take a free race shuttle: from Century City nonstop from 03:00 to 05:30, from Union Station at 05:00, 05:30 and 06:00, or from 500 S. Is there a shuttle back to Dodger Stadium after the LA Marathon?
No. There is no shuttle from the finish back to Dodger Stadium or Union Station, and cars left at the stadium after 18:00 are towed. Only runners who booked a downtown hotel through the official hotel centre get a return shuttle to 500 S. Figueroa Street, from 11:00 to 16:00.
Where can spectators watch the LA Marathon?
Grand Park downtown (around mile 4), Hollywood Boulevard (miles 9 to 12), the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood (around miles 14 and 15), Rodeo Drive (mile 17) and Santa Monica Boulevard in Century City, which runners pass just after mile 18 and again at the finish. Use the Metro B and D Lines, because the course closes the main boulevards for most of the morning.
Where do I meet my runner after the LA Marathon?
In 2026 the race asked families to meet inside Westfield Century City, next to the finish, and not at the secure zone exit at Constellation Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars. Runners first walk about half a mile through the secure zone, which can take at least 30 minutes.
When is the 2027 LA Marathon and when is the expo?
Sunday 7 March 2027, with the full field starting at 07:00. The expo is at Dodger Stadium (Lot G) on Friday 5 March from 10:00 to 19:00 and Saturday 6 March from 10:00 to 17:00, and there is no race-day bib pick-up unless you buy Start Line Hospitality.
