The Metro normally opens at 07:30 on Sundays (it opened at 07:00 on race day in 2026). Bag drop on Avenida Santiago Montoto, by the Aquarium, opens at 06:45. In 2026 runners entered the corrals from the Glorieta de los Marineros with their bib and corral wristband on. The gun goes at 08:30, and in 2026 the last wave left at 08:52.

Watch the race

See your runner by the old city walls, at Plaza de España and by the Cathedral, all on foot, then meet them after the finish.

  1. km 20 (mile 12)

    Arco de la Macarena

Stand along the old city walls on Calle Muñoz León or the Ronda de Capuchinos. Runners pass this stretch three times (early on, near halfway and again after km 35), and the organisers added extra official cheer points here in 2026.

  2. km 33 (mile 20)

    Plaza de España

From the Macarena, walk about 45 minutes south through the old town, crossing the course only where marshals allow. Your runner needs well over an hour for the 13 km, and the course loops round the square inside the Parque de María Luisa.

Stays near Plaza de España ↗
  3. km 40 (mile 25)

    Avenida de la Constitución

From Plaza de España, walk about 20 minutes north past the Puerta de Jerez to the avenue beside the Cathedral. Runners come through here with about 2 km to go.

  4. Meet your runner

The finish and bag areas are for runners only. In 2026 runners left the finish area where Avenida de la Guardia Civil, Avenida de Moliní and Paseo de la Palmera meet, and anyone with a bag collected it by the Aquarium and walked out towards the Glorieta de Buenos Aires. No family meeting zone is published, so agree on a spot there before race day.

Questions

Where should I stay for the Seville Marathon?

In the historic centre near the Cathedral or around Prado de San Sebastián, so you can walk to the start and back from the finish. Triana is 25 minutes on foot, and Nervión is often cheaper and two Metro stops away.

Is it better to stay near the start or the finish?

You do not have to choose. The start on Avenida de María Luisa and the finish on Paseo de las Delicias are about 600 metres apart beside the Parque de María Luisa, with the bag drop by the Aquarium close to both.

How do I get to the start of the Seville Marathon?

Walk if you can. Otherwise take Metro Line 1 to Prado de San Sebastián, Puerta de Jerez or San Bernardo, or a TUSSAM city bus, which is free for runners showing their bib on race day. The Metro normally opens at 07:30 on Sundays, so check the race-day opening time.

Where can supporters watch the Seville Marathon?

The old city walls at the Arco de la Macarena (passed three times), Plaza de España and Avenida de la Constitución by the Cathedral. You can walk between all three in time.

Can I still get a place in the 2027 Seville Marathon?

General entries sold out in April 2026, and bibs cannot be transferred. You can join the official waiting list (97.10 euros), which fills places freed by runners who cancel, or look at the official hotel packs that include a bib (from 312.10 euros when checked in October 2026).

Where do I pick up my bib for the Seville Marathon?

At the expo in FIBES, the conference centre on the east side of the city, on Friday 19 or Saturday 20 February 2027 from 10:00 to 20:00. No bibs are handed out on race day.
